Fariba-Ferdosi-104

BIOGRAPHY

Fariba Ferdosi (1976, Tehran) is an artist who dwells on the threshold, the boundary between sleep and wakefulness, real and imaginary, and between various identities and their intersections (female, Iranian, Italian…). Underlying her artistic research is her interest in the aesthetics and ethics of the roots of ‘archetypes’. Convinced of the social value of art, her research favors interaction and ranges, in terms of techniques and materials used, from ‘installation to interactive video art, from Net Art to performance.

From 2002 to 2010 she collaborated with the artist Lorenzo Pizzanelli (1969-2010) with whom she created several multimedia works in several versions.

She lives and works in between Florence and Tehran.
